Project: Railway Lane Housing
We had the pleasure of working with Cantay Estates in supporting the discharge of planning conditions for 90 affordable homes, located within a technically challenging site in Littlemore, Oxford, which had previously been an oil depot.
Our approach was one of collaboration and partnership, developing hard and soft landscape plans as well as Landscape Management Plans with the Engineering, Architectural and Ecological teams.
In a city identified as one of the least affordable cities to live in the UK, this 100% affordable housing development will provide much needed new homes. Whilst also integrating a robust landscape design which provided open space for natural play, rain-water attenuation through a series of bioretention planters, swales and attenuation ponds and screening of the adjacent railway line.

What the client said
The ASA team were professional, proactive and efficient throughout our project. They worked well with our project team to pull together the strands of amenity, ecology and drainage into a well thought through landscaping scheme which was delivered on time and budget. I would highly recommend them.
