Project: Jaguar Landrover, Newbury
Continuing our relationship with Marshall we worked on the new Jaguar Landrover Showroom at Newbury. This brownfield site proved to be particularly challenging as it included the translocation of many slowworms to a site nearby prior to construction. The prominent position overlooking a roundabout meant the landscape proposals were sensitive however liaising with Working with West Berkshire Council were able to create a solution which met the needs of both our client and the tree officer. The extensive grass frontage is seeded to reflect the heathland and acidic grassland of the Greenham Common SSSI it will be managed to promote biodiversity. Heathers are also dominant in the planting scheme. The JLR brand box hedge on the showroom façade sits beautifully to frame the new frontage.
